Egads! Can you believe it? There is another anti-trust lawsuit filed against the ANA, PNG and eBay just like the one I reported a couple of weeks ago as having been settled out of court! The one just settled was filed in Florida. This one is filed in New York. Though not a new one, I was not aware there were two very similar cases filed against the defendants. Are there more? I sure hope not. This one sure has the appearance of a copy-cat and at least some precedent was set with the one just settled and I hope this one is over soon. See what happens when the ANA gets involved where it should not? The ANA has to reverse this trend. It appears the current board has done well to do so and needs to make sure the next board picks up where this one leaves off. Education appears to be the priority again as evidenced by the programs offered by the ANA at major shows across the country and the innovations implemented in this year’s Summer Seminar.
So the question remains: will this have any impact on eBay policy regarding which third party grading services, including DGS (which did not exist when this case was filed), can or cannot have their product listed on eBay?
