La Verne, CA police are investigating the burglary of coin dealer Don Hauser.The loss included a large amount of U.S and foreign gold coins. One suspect is in custody and additional arrests are pending . It is believed the suspects are attempting to sell the coins in the southern California area. Bloomington, Illinois police are investigating the robbery of coin dealer Frank Zapushek and the loss of over $65,000 in gold coins, peace dollars and cash. Mr. Zapushek was assaulted and two briefcases taken while unloading his vehicle at 6:45am March 28, 2009 at a local coin show. No suspects have been identified.

Surveillance Equipment Inadequate in Coin Shop Burglaries
